Trail Buddies are experienced off-road riders who map and verify trails on TourenUp. They create drill sections on technical terrain and earn Trail Coins every time another rider completes their sections.

What are Trail Coins?

Trail Coins are earned for every trail section approved and for every rider who completes that section. Contributions compound over time as more riders discover your sections.

Do I need a large following to become a Trail Buddy?

No. Trail Buddy status is based on trail contributions, not follower count. Any experienced rider who knows their local terrain can become a Trail Buddy.

Create a drill section.
Mark a technical part of your trail — a climb, descent, off-camber, sand section. Riders come specifically to train there.
Earn Trail Coins every time a rider completes your section

Build your portfolio.
The more sections you have and the more riders train on them, the more coins you accumulate. Your contribution history is permanently visible on your Trail Buddy profile.

Your sections and trails connect to the wider TourenUp map. Riders planning trips in your region find your work first. The best Trail Buddies become the recognized authority on their local terrain — not because of follower counts, but because their trails are used.
